Reality EPK

Bowienet-Mitglieder haben seit heute die Möglichkeit sich ein 4 1/2 minütiges EPK anzusehen. Nette Bilder, playback video performances und Song snippets von New Killer Star, The Loneliest Guy, Pablo Picasso, Bring Me The Disco King und Never Get Old.  Folgende Aussagen hat Bowie hier getätigt:

I write in different ways, and often there is a concept behind what I am going to do. Or, at least a kind of a – I call it a roadmap of where I’m going. But, this time there really isn’t. The last album that I wrote, “Heathen,” has something of a more spiritual quality than something like this new album that I’ve written, which is called “Reality.” I think the sense of urgency that probably can be felt in this album has an awful lot to do with the fact that it does reflect the area of New York that I live in. I can’t help but do that anyway. I mean, if I lived in Sweden you’d really know about it.

I think that this album that I’ve just written really is more anecdotal and is kind of past glimpses of people that I felt that I might have known, or that I did know – amalgams of people from New York, really.

I just assembled a group of songs which I find enjoyable to play, and I hope that they’ll be really fun to play on stage.

I’m very aware that I am touring this year, and this album will become a big part of that tour. So, therefore, all the musicians on this album are from my working band. I’m not really very keen to put on much of a theatrical show, you know, in terms of big sets and elephants and fireworks and things like that. Of course, it doesn’t mean that I won’t go back on my word because that’s, you know, part and parcel of what I do for you. Part of my entertaining factor is lying to you.

I do write a lot, and I write all the time, you know. So, it’s really better if I can get at least one album out a year. I think over the last few years I’ve gotten quite self-satisfied without being just an interpreter of my own songs.

Als Nicht-Mitglied hab ich mal bei Bo-Net in die zwei
Tracks die zugänglich sind reingehört.
Natürlich lassen sich aus den kurzen "Schnipsel"noch
keine definitiven Schlüsse ziehen.

The Loneliest Guy kommt sehr traurig rüber. Fast bin ich geneigt zu sagen;
er singt sich jammernd durch die Oktaven. 
Looking for Water ist ein einfach strukturierter Song und geht
da schon etwas rhythmischer ab. In den wenigen Sekunden die man zu
hören bekommt ist mir bei diesem Track  spontan "Ashes to Ashes" eingefallen.
Jedenfalls ist er stimmlich  in Form.

hallo,

könnte vieleicht einer unserer b-netter mal seine diversen temp ordner durchforsten und die nicht öffentlichen pröbchen ins netz stellen ?

kann leider keinen genauen standart-ablageplatz nennen, da bei mir alle temp ordner entsprechend umgeleitet sind.

aber wenn jemand zeit und lust verspürt diese auf seinem rechner zu suchen zu suchen, wäre schon toll. :D

als Nichtmitglied konnte ich mir auch nur die zwei Songausschnitte anhören. war zwar nicht viel zuhören aber so von der Stilrichtung her hats mir sehr gut gefallen. freu mich schon auf den Rest.

hehe...wollte nur mal sagen, wie GEIL DSL ist... ..endlich konnte ich mir das EPK mal in aller Schönheit ansehen! Wow!

ja, habe auch meine TEMPS durchsucht und tatsächlich sieben Dateien gefunden, die alle 48 kb groß  waren...und die Erstellungszeit stimmte auch mit meinem "jukebox"-anhören überein... aber es war mir nicht möglich, die Dinger zum Laufen zu kriegen...
(aber ich glaube, bei Bowieaudio, wo die Musichacker sitzen, sind die schon in Umlauf...)
