The Celebration Returns January 8!

We're performing an amazing star-studded streaming show for the world and you're the first to know with tickets available now!

My friends,

I had been wondering in recent months what to do for David's birthday. We were supposed to be on tour with A Bowie Celebration in January which is just not possible for now. Then it came to me after speaking with many friends who love David: alumni from throughout David's career as well as great singers connected in special ways with him.

Today, I'm announcing that on January 8 an enormous group of artists will come together for the weekend of the fifth anniversary of David's passing and what would have been his birthday. We will reconnect, heal, and share David's music which means so much to so many. We can't wait to perform this setlist of some of his most memorable hits along with a collection of deep cut Bowie gems... and it would mean so much for you to join us in our Celebration!

This concert will feature performances from Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), William Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), Bowie’s good friend and Oscar-winning actor Gary Oldman, Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction), Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), Grammy-winning singer Macy Gray, Ian Astbury (The Cult), Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie, Lenny Kravitz), Bernard Fowler (Rolling Stones), Corey Glover (Living Color), Tony-winning rocker Lena Hall, vocal phenom Judith Hill (Grammy winner for 20 Feet From Stardom), and many, many more friends still to be announced!

We're bringing together dozens of Bowie alumni band members spanning David's 1969 self-titled album through Blackstar including David’s complete final touring band of Gail Ann Dorsey, Earl Slick, Sterling Campbell, Gerry Leonard, Catherine Russell and me along with Zack Alford, Carlos Alomar, Kevin Armstrong, Alan Childs, Robin Clark, Emm Gryner, Omar Hakim, Clare Hirst, Erdal Kızılçay, Tim Lefebvre, Martha Mooke, Holly Palmer, Mark Plati, Carmine Rojas, Charlie Sexton, Bowie’s long-time record producer and musician Tony Visconti, and many more to be announced soon...

We’re planning an incredible show for you with the most talented musicians from every period of David’s career along with phenomenal artists from so many different genres. We’ll hear different interpretations of David’s songs; some with totally new arrangements that have never been heard before!

bitte um aufklärung!

was denkt ihr?

Ich denke das ist klar :) Sie wird zusammen auf Leinwand irgendwie meinen.

Und ja, ich will das schon auch gern sehen :) Aber Tickets dürfte man ja immer bekommen, auch kurz vorher. Kann ja schlecht ausverkauft werden.
Fragt sich nur wieviel Tickets später kosten.
Und hmm...wenn man zu mehren zusammen schauen kann irgendwie frag ich mich ob dann nicht auch ein Ticket reicht? 🤔

Das sind ja Pakete, mit Zugang zu Fanartikeln und Bandproben, schön mit Abstand und Einlass nur wenige Personen. Das man direkt zum Konzert gehen kann, glaube ich nicht. Zumal das sicher zusammengeschnitten wird.

Ich denke selbst Rehearsals und Soundcheck wird man online sehen.

Es wäre eh völlig kontraproduktiv wenn die alle durch die Weltgeschichte reisen müssten zu einem Ort um dann in einer leeren Halle aufzutreten.
Es wird wohl jeder dort bleiben wo er wohnt schätze ich.

genau das meine ich!
ich habe mir gedanken gemacht,ob wir,wenn wir nur 1 ticket kaufen,es trotzdem dann gemeinsam sehen könnten...
und wo und wie?
und wer von den musikern wird wohl mit wem zusammen spielen und wer auf seinem homy sofa sitzen und zb.quicksand spielen?
fragen über fragen....
also mal so in den raum gefragt und gesponnen....
könnten wir das irgendwo gemeinsam sehen und sollte man in dem fall dann ein ticket package nehmen,wo auch die rehearsals gezeigt werden?
ich werde mir das auf jeden fall ansehen und würde auch ein ticket kaufen,aber es würde ja so so so viel mehr spass machen,wenn wir gerade am 8.1.gemeinsam a bowie celebration zelebrieren könnten und würden!!!!!

Ich bin vor allem hellhörig geworden als ich im Line-up Gail Ann Dorsey entdeckt habe. Wäre toll wenn sie wirklich dabei ist.

So ich das verstehe, ist das 3-Stundenevent als Stream am 09.01.2021 ab 03:00 UTC+01 bis 06:00 UTC+01 für 24 Stunden läuft. Wann wird das "Konzert" produziert? Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass das ganze Line-Up aus einer Bühne spielt.
